“This is to let you know how satisfied I was with the work of Sexton Roofing, who put a new roof on my home in Northampton recently. The work ethic of the roofing crew was remarkable, putting in long hours and continuing to work diligently at a steady pace. I recommend their work very highly and thank a neighbor for suggesting them.
The entire project was daunting as they first had to remove the old shingles as there were two layers on the roof. Starting first thing in the morning, they spread tarpaulins and ground clothes on both the front, back and sides of the house to protect the house and garage. Other workers on the ground hauled away the old shingles which were disposed of in a large dumpster parked in front of my garage
After removing the old shingles, Sexton Roofing’s crew started laying down the underlayer base before putting down the new shingles. I was able to observe the process as they worked on the garage. Their crew worked diligently all day seemingly without taking a break. I realize the pressure on them must have been significant as the weather forecast had called for the possibility of rain. However, they got a break as the rain held off and they were able to complete the job.
During the entire process, the Sexton Roofing crew continued working as I watched as they routinely climbed ladders carefully with tools and large loads of materials. Not only did they repair the chimney pursuant to my request, but they replaced the dome and flashing for a sun tunnel in the upstairs master bathroom and removed a skylight on the back porch that was at the end of its useful life.
At the end of the day, although they must have been very tired, they continued to work, picking up all the loose debris that was left over from all the packaging of the roofing materials and the old shingles. This process was performed several times by the Sexton Roofing crew looking for small pieces of debris, which was very impressive.
They finally finished at about 7:30 p.m. in the evening. In closing, I reiterate my recommendation of their work.”
